Advanced Optical Materials
Asin Optics has built a closed loop encompassing high-power laser systems, ultraviolet lithography systems, infrared guidance, and aerospace optics, integrating inspection, data processing, CAM generation, CNC polishing, and re-inspection. We have achieved precision manufacturing capabilities for complex surface shapes, large-aperture optics, and mass production.
Asin Optics possesses the capability to produce and inspect all types of optical surface shapes, including planar, spherical, aspherical, off-axis aspherical, and freeform surfaces with a diameter of φ2000 mm or larger. It supports the production and processing of large-aperture, ultra-thin parts, and irregularly shaped components such as circles, ellipses, rectangles, polygons, sectors, rings, and even arbitrary shapes.
Materials range from hard and brittle materials to metal substrates, including:
Optical glass: K9, ULE, microcrystalline glass, quartz;
Crystal materials: sapphire, single crystal silicon, CaF₂, MgF₂, LiF, Ge, ZnSe;
Metal materials: oxygen-free copper, aluminum alloys, nickel-based alloys, SiC, etc.
Grating Force Control CNC Polishing System
Our grating force-controlled CNC polishing system utilizes an industrial-grade six-axis robotic arm, equipped with a polishing module and a digital process control system.
The robotic arm’s positioning accuracy is +/-0.02nm, and its repeatability is better than +/-0.01mm.
The 0.1N-level closed-loop force control system ensures dynamic stability during the processing.
Surface Shape and Wavefront Detection Capabilities
Surface shape detection accuracy can reach:
- PV better than 60 nm @ 2σ
- Ra <= 0.5 nm
- RMS better than 12 nm, better than Class III
- Capable of stable detection of complex components such as parabolic mirrors, ultrathin sheets, and large-aperture mirrors.
Dedicated CAM System
Our CNC polishing system is equipped with a dedicated CAM system, enabling:
- Multi-axis linkage trajectory planning
- Real-time material removal rate prediction
- Online interferometric detection data feedback compensation, supporting multiple mainstream formats such as dat/xyz/point cloud/CSV
- Detection data formats, directly interfaceable with interferometers, profilometers, and third-party inspection systems
- Multi-material processing parameter database, supporting batch consistency
Zeiss Coordinate Measuring System (CMM)
We utilize the Zeiss CMM system to build 3D geometric and structural metrology capabilities. This is primarily used for detecting the geometric dimensions and form and position errors of optical structural components, mounting reference surfaces, and optomechanical interfaces, ensuring the adjustability between optical components and mechanical references.
Data Processing Capabilities
Our CNC software system’s advantages include:
- Support for modeling planar, spherical, aspherical, and freeform surfaces
- 3D interactive visualization (X-Z/Y-Z) for positioning and removing defective points, avoiding machining errors
- Support for irregular shapes such as circles, rectangles, and polygons, with input specified via CSV
- Filtering and Zernike analysis (2nd to 5th order): used for error decomposition and targeted correction/preservation of aberrations, with customized filtering strategies for different optical system requirements.
