Potassium Titanyl Phosphate crystal NLO KTP crystal KTiOPO4 crystal Key Product Discription
Asin Optics specializes in the production of high-quality KTP (KTiOPO4) nonlinear optical crystals. KTP is currently one of the most widely used nonlinear crystal materials and is the preferred choice for frequency doubling 1064 nm Nd:YAG or Nd:YVO4 lasers to generate 532 nm green light. These crystals feature high nonlinear optical and electro-optic coefficients, as well as broad angular, temperature, and spectral bandwidths and small walk-off angles. Additionally, they offer a high optical damage threshold, are non-hygroscopic, possess excellent chemical stability, and exhibit moderate hardness and good machinability. They are widely used in applications such as OPO, OPA, and electro-optic modulation.
Potassium Titanyl Phosphate crystal NLO KTP crystal KTiOPO4 crystal Key Features
- KTP crystals possess a very large nonlinear coefficient, which can significantly lower the laser pump threshold.
- KTP features a broad transparency range (350–4500 nm), making it suitable for various wavelength conversion applications.
- KTP crystals exhibit low absorption coefficients at both the fundamental (1064 nm) and harmonic (532 nm) wavelengths; their high thermal conductivity and low absorption make them ideal for continuous-wave and high-repetition-rate laser systems.
- KTP crystals have a very high laser damage threshold, allowing them to withstand high-power laser pulses.
- KTP crystals possess excellent chemical stability, enabling long-term, stable operation across a wide temperature range.

Potassium Titanyl Phosphate crystal NLO KTP crystal KTiOPO4 crystal Applications
Frequency Doubling of 1064 nm Laser to 532 nm Green Light
KTP laser crystals can convert 1064 nm laser light into 532 nm green light via frequency doubling at room temperature. This 532 nm green light is utilized in applications such as ophthalmic laser therapy, dermatological aesthetics, laser displays, and LiDAR.
OPO / OPA
KTP features a broad transparency range (350–4500 nm) and a high nonlinear coefficient, making it an ideal nonlinear medium for Optical Parametric Oscillators (OPOs) and Optical Parametric Amplifiers (OPAs). It converts near-infrared to mid-infrared pump lasers into widely tunable outputs, enabling the generation of various signal and idler wavelengths.
Electro-optic Modulation and Q-switching
With its high electro-optic coefficient, KTP is well-suited for use in electro-optic modulators and Q-switches for high-power lasers. By rapidly modulating intracavity loss to achieve pulsed laser output, it is particularly effective for applications such as laser ranging and laser material processing.
